The aim of the project Frameworks and possibilities of forest adaptation measures and strategies connected with climate change is to create new forestry adaptation measures and strategies related to climate change.

The aim is to create conceptual, strategic and basic materials that would be used to manage the implementation of forest adaptation measures at all levels, as well as create a more detailed framework for the three pilot nature forest area and at the local level, in several studies to look or verify the collection of data necessary for the preparation of specific adaptation measures and evaluate current impact of ongoing environmental changes.

There are 5 activities in the project:

• Draft guidelinesforestryadaptationmeasures at national level
• Preparation of regionaladaptation strategiesat the levelof naturalforest areas
• Localimpact studies
• Preparation ofadaptationpolicymanagementfor the south-east Norway area
• Draft of the methodsof remote sensing(RS) to supportadaptationmanagement

The project outputs will be used for creating the conceptions, strategies and methods by the government and public administration in the management of forests, environmental protection of nature and landscape.
